It’s been a number of years since Bryan Craig has been in Port Charles, with his popular character of Morgan Corinthos having been killed off in 2016.
In addition to having a role in the CW show Valor and ABC’s Grand Hotel, Craig has been busy working towards the big screen as well. In fact, the actor will soon be seen in Women Is Losers, a new movie from Tribeca Institute, which was shot in San Francisco last summer. The film is slated to have its debut on March 16.
“Officially two weeks until our @sxsw premiere,” Craig posted on his Instagram account, including an image of the movie’s poster.
He also touted that the film will be available online and on-demand at the festival beginning March 16 at 8 a.m., with tickets available at SXSW.com.
Written and directed by Lissette Feliciano, the film takes place in San Francisco during the 1970s and follows a once-promising catholic school girl, Celina Guerrera, who looks to rise above the oppression of poverty and invest in a future for herself that sets new precedents for the time.
Against all odds, and undertaking multiple jobs, the daughter of South American immigrants fights the system and becomes a successful landowner.
Chilean actress Lorenza Izzo, who was critically praised for her performance in Once Upon a Time in America, playing the wife of Leonardo DiCaprio in the Quentin Tarantino film, stars as Celina.
Joining Izzo and Craig are Simu Liu and How to Get Away With Murder’s Liza Weil.
Craig originally joined GH as Morgan back in May 2013, dying three years later, but he did pop up in 2018 as a special “ghost” when Ava was haunted by spirits from her past. During his time with the show, he earned four Daytime Emmy Award noms, winning Outstanding Younger Actor in both 2016 and 2017.
There are still plenty of GH fans who long for Craig’s return to the show, citing that Morgan’s body was never found. The son of Carly and Sonny would surely add some fire to Port Charles if he returned. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listing for air times.
