An Explosive Fourth Of July On The July 8 General Hospital

Port Charles celebrated the Fourth of July on the July 8, 2024 episode of General Hospital, and when the fireworks began, things got explosive.

Sparks Fly

After Drew (Cameron Mathison) officially announced he’s running for Congress, a party at the Quartermaine Mansion ended with him and Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) alone in the living room, sitting a little too close as they talked about Drew’s future in Port Charles. Willow thanked him for the ways he’s helped her and her family, admitting she wished he didn’t have to move to DC, and Drew nonchalantly called her beautiful.

It wasn’t entirely unexpected when Willow and Drew shared a kiss to the sound of fireworks bursting outside, and in true soap fashion, someone caught them in the act. After Nina (Cynthia Watros) admitted to Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) that she and Drew have been hooking up, what will Sasha do after witnessing this new development?

Snap, Crackle, Pops

Cody (Josh Kelly) spent the holiday with James (Gary James Fuller), where the two admitted to each other that they had always wanted brothers. After Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) walked in and explained found family to James, it prompted him to ask Cody if he would be his brother.

Once the two new brothers sealed the deal with a spit shake and it was time for fireworks, James went to watch while Cody stayed behind to comfort the horses. That was when Mac (John J. York, who recently returned to GH) walked in and thanked Cody for being so great with James and shared that he would love to have a life like Cody’s.

The two stepped outside the stables to watch the fireworks, and Mac rambled about being in awe of the way fireworks have evolved over the years. Cody simply looked at him before blurting out, “I’m your son.”
