Jason and Britt’s Second Chance
During her State of Mind debut, Thiebaud (Britt) reveals to co-star Benard (Sonny) the details of her decision to return to GH. In this exclusive clip, Thiebaud reveals it was Steve Burton (Jason) who asked her to return.
“Thankfully, Frank [Valentini, Executive Producer] graciously opened the doors for me,” she began, then went on to credit Burton’s role in her return. “Steve and I talked about it. He asked me to come back,” she revealed, noting she realized it was a big deal to get a second chance at Britt and Jason’s romance now that Burton was back on the show.
Jason and Britt’s relationship came to an abrupt end in 2021 when ABC introduced a vaccine mandate that Burton couldn’t comply with. After a stint on Days of our Lives, Burton resumed his iconic GH role in early 2024.
As for Thiebaud, she left GH in late 2022 when Britt was supposedly killed by The Hook, aka Heather (Alley Mills). That proved to all be a lie when Britt miraculously appeared at an airport last summer, catching Jason’s eye.
“It’s been weird and wild,” Thiebaud admitted, sharing that she considered herself done with her life as an actress in LA after leaving GH. “So, to be back there now, in that old life, in this new body and personality, has been an experience.”
The actress went on to admit she wasn’t sure how everyone at GH would react to her return. “I’m connecting with people on the show more than I ever have, hanging out with cast outside of the show. I’m trying to, like, be a different person and build a new life for myself.”
