Kristina, played by Kate Mansi, on General Hospital experiences twists and turns in her relationship with Blaze. Off-screen, Mansi got a bit of a twist, too, after she became engaged to be married.

Suprise, Surprise

“Never did I expect this to be the official photo of our announcement, but here we are,” Mansi shared on Instagram with a photo of her eating some food and a closeup of her engagement ring. “Lmao!!! It’s hilarious and perfect! Congrats beautiful!!” enthused Daytime TV pal Chrishell Stause, who was on Days of our Lives as Jordan when Mansi played Abby on that series.

The actress is set to marry Matt McInnis, a producer. “Apparently today is a holiday,” McInnis posted on July 4th, “but I think July 3rd was even better.” Check out the gorgeous mountain backdrop in the groom’s post!

Other co-stars and pals weighed in with supportive comments for Kate Mansi and Matt McInnes. “Mama knew and didn’t blab,” posted Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis). “I am busting with love for the 2 of you. A match divinely orchestrated. Perfection.”

“Congratulations!!! Now we really need to have dinner and celebrate!!!!” says Rena Sofer (Lois). Adds Kristen Vaganos (Molly): “Couldn’t love you two more” followed by two heart emojis.

“Wonderful Kate!! Congratulations to you on your new chapter. Big hugs,” writes Kristina Wagner (Felicia). Adds Nadia Bjorlin (ex-Chloe, DAYS): “I’m SO happy for you! Sending you all the love! congratulations!” Mansi’s former TV mom, Mary Beth Evans (Kayla, DAYS; Sara, The Bay), adds, “That makes me so happy gorgeous.”

While Mansi, a Daytime Emmy winner for her turn as Abigail on DAYS, is known for acting, her husband-to-be is a producer known for his work on TV series. His credits in the Marvel universe include Jessica Jones, Helstrom, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist. His early credits include being a production associate on the fan favorite long-running series Smallville.
