What just happened on General Hospital? Our beloved Dante turned mean and nasty. His behavior was shockingly out of character. What happens next?
Teen Trouble
Teenagers tend to get into trouble. Two high school boys sneaking into a college party is not uncommon. Unfortunately for Rocco (Finn Carr), he had to learn a lesson the hard way. He succumbed to peer pressure, first by going to the party he didn’t want to go to, and then by drinking. Too much drinking led to alcohol poisoning, and he had his stomach pumped.
Lulu (Alexa Havins) and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) were understandably upset, as any parent would be, but Dante took it out on the wrong person. Not only did he misdirect his anger, but he also went way too far. Gio (Giovanni Mazza) did nothing but try to help Rocco. He didn’t give him alcohol, encourage him to drink, or even know he was at the party until after he had passed out. Maybe he should have called Rocco’s parents earlier, but how could he have known how dire the situation was?
Gio did not deserve any of the blame, but Dante went after him hard. He accused the violinist of lying and then accused Lois (Rena Sofer) of coddling him. Some fans said it was uncomfortable to watch, especially because it was so out of character for Dante. By the way, why didn’t he just ask Rocco what happened? That would have cleared Gio right away.
Brother From Another Mother
The truth is about to come out (we hope). Everyone will soon learn that Gio is Dante and Brook Lynn’s (Amanda Setton) son, which makes him Rocco’s half-brother. Will this information make Dante regret the way he treated Gio? He should regret it even if he weren’t his son.
Then there is Gio. He is hurt and angry, and he has every right to be. Finding out that Dante is his dad may not change how he feels. He lost both of his parents, and he looked up to Dante, who treated him like a punching bag. This may affect any future relationship they might have. Did you think Dante was awful?
