Days of our Lives viewers appreciated Kate Mansi in the role of Abby whenever she was willing to come and play in Salem, but now General Hospital fans get to enjoy her as Kristina. But that’s not the only reason Mansi has to celebrate.
And that’s because she was born on September 15, 1987, in Calabasas, California, which means that this talented performer is turning 36 years old today! Mansi spent her childhood dancing, first for fun and then as a professional, taking roles in prestigious ballets like The Nutcracker, Bambi, Peter Pan, and Heaven and Hell.
Mansi attended and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Pepperdine University. Afterward, she began to pursue an acting career in earnest. In 2008, she landed a guest spot on How I Met Your Mother, and one year later, she assumed the role of Abby Deveraux on Days of our Lives — a part previously played by Ashley Benson.
Mansi remained on the soap until the summer of 2016, at which point she was recast with actress Marci Miller. When Miller chose to vacate the role after two years, Mansi agreed to reprise the part — and this time, she stayed until summer 2020, albeit on an “as needed” basis.
Mansi’s other acting credits include an episode of Small Shots, as well as a plethora of made-for-TV thrillers, including Unwanted Guest, Boyfriend Killer, Mother of All Secrets, Muse, Nightclub Secrets, The Perfect One, and The Office Mix-Up. The actress also started to take on directing duties.
