Days of Our Lives' Bryan Datillo shared the news that his daughter is joining General Hospital.
Last year on General Hospital, Maurice Benard’s son, Joshua Bernard, played Adam Wright, a troubled friend of Joss’s at PCU. Now another child of a soap star joins GH. The daughter of Days of Our Lives‘ Lucas Horton, aka actor Bryan Dattilo, will briefly appear on the ABC soap. And her pappa couldn’t be prouder.
Dattilo posted a pic of his daughter, Delila Dattilo, standing outside the GH studio with the giant General Hospital sign above it on Instagram. He lovingly captioned it, “A Dattilo was spotted in Port Charles. Finally a real soap star in the family.#GH#DOOL.” The fans were truly excited with one responding, “Congratulations to Delila! Following in her Dad’s footsteps! Bryan, you’re always a star in my book!! 💜💡✌️💜.”
This wasn’t the first time the actor mentioned his daughter on social media. In June 2022, he shared a picture of her also on Instagram, writing, “Future soap star Delia Dattilo getting the summer scoop. #soapoperadigest.” The young girl was reading an issue of the soap magazine in a lounge chair with a shocked look on her face. One of his followers eagerly replied, “Too cute ❣️ She’d make a great long lost daughter of Lucas. We need more Hortons 😁,” referencing his DAYS role and the fact that he only appears on a recurring basis.

Tons of congratulatory responses were shared under his GH announcement, with one follower sharing, “👏👏👏 Congratulations Delila!!!! @bryan.dattilo that’s so exiting. I’ve always thought you’d be an excellent Nikolas @generalhospitalabc but I am so happy for your sweet girl. Following in her daddy’s footsteps! I can’t wait to know who she is playing!”
Who she’s going to play has been kept under wraps, but Soap Opera Digest confirmed that her scenes will take place in Port Charles’ Rice Plaza. Since the city’s denizens often gather there during the holiday season, she could be a friend of one of the show’s child characters or even a classmate.
Whoever she plays, with a top-notch soap star like Dattilo as her dad, you know she’s got the best acting coach around, and we’re looking forward to seeing her debut! (Learn who all the kids on GH are.)
