General Hospital‘s Sawandi Wilson is a newbie to soaps, but that’s okay. He shares a connection with someone else in the daytime community. This fellow actor gave him sound and much-needed advice, which helped Wilson adjust to this world much more easily.
Bold and Beautiful Advice
The actor who enabled Sawandi Wilson (Isaiah) to transition to daytime more smoothly is The Bold and the Beautiful‘s Delon de Metz, who plays Zende Forrester Dominguez. It turns out they have someone in common: their acting teacher and coach. “We both studied with Susan Batson,” Wilson told Soap Opera Digest. “He was definitely someone that I kind of came up with, so I called him and he was so generous with his time and just giving advice.”
One of the most daunting tasks for a soap actor is learning all that dialogue. However, de Metz’s tip for Wilson may surprise you. “Ultimately, remain open — and you never know who your love interest is going to be! So just remain open and [he told me] pretty much to flirt! Remain open because you never know where the story is going to go.”
Controversial Love Interest
Wise words, considering de Metz’s most recent love interest, came with a lot of controversy that was recently cleared up. As for Wilson, GH fans are waiting to find out who he will be paired with. Many are hoping it’s Jordan (Tanishas Harper) but in the soap world, anything goes depending on chemistry.
Wilson’s B&B friend gave him one more assurance that undoubtedly put him at ease as he entered a new genre and environment. De Metz said, “Everyone is going to be so nice, everyone is going to love you.”
Currently, the Isaiah character is lying unconscious in a hospital bed at GH. Nobody knows who he is, and characters like Jordan love a good investigation. Will he wake up soon so he can let everybody know where Lucky (Jonathan Jackson) is? Because Lucky needs to race back to Port Charles so he can save his dying, comatose sister.
