General Hospital Comings and Goings: Ellen Travolta Returns As Gloria

We can’t guarantee that Chase and Brook Lynn will definitely get hitched on General Hospital next month. However, Soap Hub can share that the bride’s grandmother, Gloria, played by Ellen Travolta will show up for the planned festivities.

Soap Opera Digest reported that Travolta, who reprised Gloria last year, is coming back to GH. Watch for the actress to show up the week of May 13.

Travolta originated the role of Gloria on GH in 1994 when Gloria’s daughter Lois (Rena Sofer), Brook Lynn’s mother, was set to marry Ned (Wally Kurth), Brook Lynn’s dad. It’s not uncommon for beloved characters to come back for family events like weddings and funerals. Soaps are, after all, about families.
