Is General Hospital On A Collision Course Toward A Shocking Adoption Storyline?

Two baby stories are playing out on General Hospital. Brook Lynn and Chase are trying to create their family, and Sasha just got the shock of her life when she discovered she’s baking a bun in her oven. In true soap fashion, we think these tales will collide in a huge way. 

Two Mothers To Be

The last time BLQ (Amanda Setton) was “with child,” she faked out everyone. She busted out a faux belly and had everyone convinced she was about to be a mother. As luck would have it, her lies took a turn, and she saved Maxie (Kirsten Storms) by raising her sweet little girl for the first few months of her life and hiding the baby in plain sight. 

As for Sasha, well, we know the tragedy that struck her first child. Losing baby Liam nearly broke Sasha. She buried her husband and her son and slid deep into a pit of despair. Some see this pregnancy as a miracle for her (despite the circumstances), but does Sasha see it that way? 

An Adoption Story?

Let’s face it: Sasha is pregnant with a married man’s child, and to make it worse, Michael (Chad Duell) is slated to leave town soon (find out why here). His exit will leave her high and dry on the parenting front. That, paired with her parents abandoning her, maybe Sasha won’t want to be a single mother struggling in the world. 

So we have a pregnant mother with an uncertain future living under the same roof as a couple who want nothing more than to be parents. If Brook Lynn and Chase (Josh Swickard) find themselves struggling to conceive, they may start looking at Sasha as a solution. 

Adopting would be wonderful for Chase and Brook Lynn. They’d get their happily-ever-after and fall madly and deeply in love with the baby at first glance. However, for Sasha, this could turn into a huge emotional mess. While logically, she’ll see handing over the baby as doing “the right thing,” her heart will pine forever for the child. 

It All Falls Apart

We can’t see this solution working out in the end. Eventually, Sasha will come to her senses and demand her child back. And, Chase being who he is won’t be able to keep the mother and baby apart. He and BLQ will eventually hand the little one over…and will hopefully be rewarded with a surprise pregnancy of their very own.
