There’s a new face coming to General Hospital. Daytime newcomer Jens Austin Astrup is headed to Port Charles.
Deadline reported that Astrup will portray Kai. Supposedly, Kai will be a new love interest for Trina (Tabyana Ali), so move over Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez — who became the internet’s new boyfriend) fans. Trina is slated to meet Kai at Port Charles University. Will sparks fly right off the bat? Or, is this something that will grow over time?
Viewers will see Astrup’s Kai starting in November. You might recognize him if you watched the Max reboot of Gossip Girl. He also appeared on King of Queens.
Trina and Spencer were one of daytime’s hottest couples before he was presumed dead after falling overboard when Esme (Avery Kristan Pohl) drugged him. While fans haven’t given up hope that Spencer will someday return from the dead, it looks like Trina may be able to move on when she meets Kai.
