General Hospital’s Carolyn Hennesy Previews New Hallmark Gig

While Diane’s got her hands full with all the courtroom drama on General Hospital, Carolyn Hennesy also has a lot going on, although not as dramatic as her alter ego. In a recent Instagram post, she hinted at a new project she’s currently working on for Hallmark, which they haven’t even publicly announced yet. She also shared details of her fun trip to the set.

Hallmark + Utah + Christmas = Perfect Setting

On Instagram, Hennesy wrote, “For the past seven days, I have found myself in Midway, Utah. Hallmark tapped me for a…wait for it…Christmas romance entitled Deck The Walls, written by the wonderful Danny Pellegrino.” Although it’s not winter yet, she theorized that there would be many fun things to be had in beautiful Utah. She elaborated, “Not yet time for skiing or snowboarding, and I don’t fish (I don’t actually ski or snowboard either, but that’s beside the point.)” (Learn about other soap stars who also work at the Hallmark Channel.)

In recounting what she had been doing there thus far, she referenced an attached video clip where she was driving around her presumed hotel, remarking, “See attached crappy video of me, animal advocate, practically running down a young deer in an attempt to get a cool video.” In it, she pointed her phone’s camera through the windshield of her car, and followed the deer as it bounded off. She hilariously poked fun at herself for being an animal lover who’s terrifying a deer, and stopped following it before it ran into traffic.

Everyday’s a Holiday in Midway

She wrote about the various thrift shops she patronized, as well as Granny’s Drive-In, a burger and milkshake joint that became, “A daily must-have.” She also mentioned she’s staying in the town of Midway and visited a store called Kringles, “Where Everyday’s a Holiday,” and purchased a great deal of Christmas items for her, “Annual Christmas Candy Party.” But she was dismayed when she had them ship the goods to her home because, “Kringles charges for shipping by the amount spent, not by weight like normal, ethical store owners. I have trouble with a*****es who think I’m stupid.”  

Settling in at the hotel, she remarked, “I discovered Shout TV has an entire channel devoted to Speed Racer,” and added, “It’s a beautiful day out and still early. But I’ve had my milkshake. The jammies are on and I’m in bed with Speed, Trixie, Chim-Chim, Spritle (the little f**k) and most importantly, Racer X.” (Find out about Hennesy’s dreams for Diane.)
