Carly Learns Her Fate On July 30 General Hospital

Surrounded by family, friends, and enemies, Carly’s arraignment was held on the July 30, 2024 episode of General Hospital and had an unexpected outcome.

Fate Revealed

With Diane (Carolyn Hennesy) by her side, Carly (Laura Wright) had Michael (Chad Duell), Josslyn (Eden McCoy), Jason (Steve Burton), and Sonny (Maurice Benard, who recently shared an adorable video with one of his on-screen daughters) in her corner, while John (Adam Harrington) sat alone on the other side of the courtroom, ready to rejoice in Carly’s downfall. But as Diane made their case to the judge, an unknown person arrived and began whispering to the US attorney.

After Diane’s motion to dismiss, the US attorney agreed to dismiss the case, shocking everyone in the courtroom. He revealed they no longer had any evidence on Carly, and it was last accessed by John’s credentials in June (which was actually Spinelli (Bradford Anderson), who stole the agent’s credentials to find out what John had on Jason).

Friendship Required

When the judge decided the case was dismissed, Carly’s side of the courtroom celebrated (here’s an update on former GH star Haley Pullos’ real-life legal woes), but also wondered what happened to John’s infamous recording.

With the video teaser for July 31, 2024 previewing Carly questioning Spinelli about the recording, the true person behind Carly’s freedom was revealed to be Brennan (Charles Mesure). When Anna (Finola Hughes) learned Brennan was free and still working with the WSB, she noted his friendship with Carly, alluding to him helping her.
