After the latest General Hospital scenes between James and Ned, Bradford Anderson took to his podcast to share his thoughts on the unexpected kiss conversation.
The Scene In Question
On a recent episode of GH, Ned (Wally Kurth) was put on kid duty when Maxie (Kirsten Storms) asked him to keep an eye on James (Gary James Fuller). After already wondering about his bud Cody’s (Josh Kelly) relationship with Sasha (Sofia Mattsson), James decided to ask Ned a very important question. “Do you kiss people… like, on the lips?”

Ned explained he enjoys kissing, making James wonder out loud why kissing would make Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) sad. That was when he revealed to Ned that he overheard Willow talking to his grandmother Nina (Cynthia Watros) about her kiss with Drew (Cameron Mathison).
The Birds And The Bees
On a recent episode of Daily Drama, hosted by Anderson and GH co-star Steve Burton (whose character is in some kiss controversy of his own), Spinelli’s portrayer had some things to say about the unexpected scene. “All of a sudden, James is there asking him, like, ‘Do you kiss people on the mouth?'” he recalled. “I was like, what is happening here? Where are we going with this?”
Anderson shared how he believes a conversation like that should have gone with young James. “I guess he had to talk to Ned because it’s Michael (Chad Duell), because it’s about Willow and Drew,” he began. “Because I was like, if anyone’s going to talk the birds and the bees with little James, it should be the father figure that lives in his house… me.”
The actor went on to praise his fellow co-star on the scene. “Great job, Gary, the actor who plays James. Great job, bud.”
