After Ava handed over her recording of Natalia spewing homophobia to the press on General Hospital, Blaze was officially outted to the world while Kristina faced cancellation from the community on the July 2, 2024 episode.
Out And Not Proud
When everyone’s phones buzzed in the Deception office, Maxie (Kirsten Storms, who recently shared a hilarious post about her daughter) tried to speak with Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) privately about The Invader article, but Lucy (Lynn Herring) confronted Natalia (Eva LaRue) about the PR nightmare she just caused the company with her recording. When Natalia questioned what recording they were all talking about, that was when it was played for the whole office to hear.
While Maxie and Lucy scrambled to figure out Deception’s next move, Blaze tore into her mother for her homophobic remarks toward her and her girlfriend (here’s how one character paved the way for this GH couple). “Why would I ever want to publicly associate with you after the whole world has heard what my mom really thinks of me?” Blaze cried despite her mother telling her she didn’t even remember saying those words. But once Natalia did remember, she immediately went to Sonny (Maurice Benard) to tell him the recording came from Ava, which will only push Sonny to further seek custody of Avery (Ava and Grace Scarola).
A Cancelled Couple
As Maxie and Lucy teetered with the idea of letting Blaze go as the Face of Deception due to the company’s large LGBTQ+ clientele, Kristina (Kate Mansi) grappled with online haters suggesting she resign from the LGBTQ+ center due to dating a closeted woman. Kristina didn’t let it phase her, but knew she needed to console her devastated girlfriend.
