Port Charles has been lacking its iconic Spencer family, but this summer on General Hospital will see the return of Jonathan Jackson as Lucky Spencer. With this legacy character’s return approaching, fans are speculating about what might bring him back home.
While Lucky left Port Charles to do some soul searching in 2011 after battling his re-emerging drug addiction and having a son with Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst), he did return in 2015 during Luke’s (Anthony Geary) sendoff episodes.
With Laura (Genie Francis – see what Jackson recently had to say about his TV mom) possibly being voted out at the hands of Portia (Brook Kerr), could Port Charles be in need of a new mayor? After all, before Lucky was born, Luke was one of the city’s most remembered mayors. Could Lucky plan to follow in his parents’ footsteps and be next in line to run his hometown?
Lucky and Liz – lovingly known by fans as LL2 – were a Port Charles supercouple in the 90s. Although they’ve had their ups and downs, with Finn (Michael Easton, who recently delved into his soap opera journey) away at rehab, could now be the perfect moment these star-crossed lovers have needed? Or will the trauma from Finn’s downward spiral force Elizabeth to push Lucky away, having once dealt with his drug addiction?
When Lucky left town, he left behind three young (and not yet SORAS’d) sons: Cameron (ex-William Lipton), Jake (Hudson West, who will be back on GH this week), and Aiden (Tristan Riggs). Although Cameron has been away at college in California, with Aiden’s backburner storyline of coming out and dating his friend Tobias and Jake’s new endeavor of going to art school in Spain, it may be the perfect time for Aiden’s dad – and one of Jake’s – to return to do some much-needed parenting.
