It’s not every day we get to see a hound of furry friends in Port Charles. Last week, Emma and Gio finally freed all the dogs in Dalton’s lab, and General Hospital took viewers behind the scenes, from the moment the cast met their new co-stars to wrangling them on set.
Key Takeaways
- GH recently featured 10 dogs in a scene with actors Braedyn Bruner, Giovanni Mazza, Maurice Benard, and more.
- The soap took fans behind the scenes of what it was like having a group of dogs on set.
- Where have the dogs been since?
Dog Days in Port Charles
GH has always been known for having beloved animal characters. From Lucky’s (Jonathan Jackson) dog Foster, to the famous Quartermaine horse Comet, to Finn’s (Michael Easton) service lizard Roxy, animals have always made an impact on Port Charles.
Most recently, Emma (Braedyn Bruner) took in a pooch she affectionately named Outback, who went from being loved in Anna’s (Finola Hughes) apartment to Lulu’s (Alexa Havins) house to the Quartermaine Mansion. But when the animal lover caught wind of a sketchy PCU professor who was lab testing on dogs, she and Gio (Giovanni Mazza) didn’t rest until every one of them was safe and sound.
GH’s official Instagram took fans behind the scenes of when Emma and Gio let all the pups run into Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) house with an on-set snap of the actors looking as cute as the pooches.
“Whoever said not to work with kids or animals clearly hasn’t wrangled 10 dogs at 8:30 in the morning. Is there any chance Sonny adopts all of these good boys?” the caption read, along with a photo of the dogs with Ryan Paevey (Nathan), Benard, Rick Hearst (Ric), Bruner, Finn Carr (Rocco), Mazza, Dominic Zamprogna (Dante), and a crew member.
If that wasn’t enough backstage adorableness, GH also shared a clip of the moment when Bruner and Mazza met their furry co-stars.
“Spotted: @braedynbruner and @giovanniviolin getting a glimpse (and a whiff) of their new co-stars for the first time,” GH included in the caption.
According to General Hospital spoilers for December 10, Sonny is about to be swept up in more Sidwell (Carlo Rota) drama, so it’s unclear where exactly all these dogs have gone. But knowing Emma and Gio, they’ll make sure they all get as great of a home as Outback.
