The Arrest No One Saw Coming On August 16 General Hospital

The Sonny vs. Ava battle came to a surprising climax when John made a shocking arrest on the August 16, 2024 episode of General Hospital.

The Admission

Sonny (Maurice Benard, who recently reunited with a beloved former GH star on his podcast) visited Kristina (Kate Mansi) to discharge her from GH and the first thing his daughter needed to know was if he took care of Ava (Maura West). Sonny told her he didn’t want Ava’s death on her conscience.

Meanwhile, at the galley, John (Adam Harrington) found out that Jason (Steve Burton) tracked down their hidden pharmacist and realized time was running out to take down Sonny and save Ava. That was when he put a new plan into action.

The Arrest

As the pharmacist spilled all to Jason, telling him that Ava ordered him to prescribe Sonny placebos and that Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) was behind the initial medication switch, John assured Ava that the photos from Kristina’s fall could easily tell a different story.

While Molly (Kristen Vaganos) vented to Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) about Kristina’s inability to control herself, Sonny wheeled his daughter out of the elevator. Before anyone to could anything, John barged into the hospital and made a shocking announcement. “Kristina Corinthos-Davis, you are under arrest.”
