General Hospital recast the role of Aiden Spencer. Colin Cassidy will portray the child of Elizabeth Webber and Lucky Spencer. Cassidy debuted in the role on September 30.
Since his birth in 2010, Aiden Spencer, the son of Liz (Rebecca Herbst) and Lucky (Jonathan Jackson), has had several different actors portray him. Most recently, Enzo De Angelis portrayed him starting in 2021, and in May 2024, Tristan Riggs took over the role.
Now, Cassidy steps into the role just as things for Aiden’s family are heating up. Lucky just returned to Port Charles for the first time since 2015. It’s also a time of change in Aiden’s life since he told Liz he was gay in late 2023. He’s likely not sure how his dad will react to the information.
Cassidy told Soap Opera Digest, “I feel incredibly grateful for this opportunity. To be thrown in with the incredible actors I’m working with and have these amazing scenes to do … It’s really not something to scoff at! It’s a big deal, and I’m very grateful.”
Cassidy’s other credits include 2024’s Knockout Blonde: The Kellie Maloney Story, in which he portrayed Teenage Frank. Labyu with an Accent (Byron Ashby) and Merry Ex-Mas (Young Myles). He also appeared as Calvin in a music video for “AWOLNation: Candy Pop” in 2023.
