When General Hospital alum Adam Huss isn’t wreaking Cassadine havoc or starring in films, he’s running a self-proclaimed ‘weird’ clothing line alongside his husband, Adam Bucci.
Small Town Weirdo is a line of hand-painted jackets and horror-themed accessories, all designed by Bucci. After turning a hobby for painting jackets into a clothing company, the designs found a following in not only horror and pop culture fans, but in the likes of the final girl herself, Jamie Lee Curtis.
“A lot of celebs have gotten painted jackets, like Jack Quaid, Melissa Barerra, Matt Bomer, Jamie Lee Curtis, and more,” Huss shared with Soap Hub. Bucci added, “When Jamie Lee Curtis wore my ‘Final Girl’ tee on set of Halloween Ends, that was a moment that really pushed Small Town Weirdo forward as a brand.”
Huss, who was last seen in Port Charles in August, went on to praise his husband, listing the company’s accomplishments, from a feature in Variety to being tapped for the Violent Night campaign and premiere, and Bucci noted Huss’ important role in the company. “He may not be the creative/painter behind the business, but without his help, allowing me to focus on my craft and also help with pop-ups and conventions and marketing, I wouldn’t be able to continue to grow Small Town Weirdo.”
So, where did Small Town Weirdo get its unique name? “I was always a bit of an outcast and wanted this to celebrate owning your otherness; your weirdo side!” Bucci revealed, noting the name came from his attempt to flip the phrase “small town hero.”

“Where we embrace the inner weirdo within all of us!!” Huss shared in an Instagram post showing off some of his husband’s designs.
The couple very fittingly donned matching ‘Weirdo’ shirts — one green and one pink, of course — to see Wicked, and have big goals for the film’s sequel. “Some films I think Small Town Weirdo would be a fantastic partner on would be Scream 7, I Know What You Did Last Summer, and even Wicked Part Two,” Bucci said. “Because it’s not easy being green and the message in Wicked fits right in with Small Town Weirdo.”
Small Town Weirdo is currently hosting a campaign collecting donations to help cover 2025 convention costs where you’ll have the chance to win a custom hand-painted jacket. Learn more here.
