Courtney Fulk has stepped in to fill some pretty big shoes at General Hospital. She’s stepping in for Eden McCoy, the winner of the 2023 Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Younger Performer. McCoy, whose mother, Natasha, passed away in November, is taking a short leave of absence from the soap.

Get To Know Courtney Fulk

Although new to the daytime genre, the blonde-haired, blue-eyed Fulk has appeared in a couple of television movies. She starred in the Lifetime Channel thriller, Killer Cheer Mom, where she played the stepdaughter of Bold and the Beautiful alum Denise Richards, and had a prominent role in the network’s Student Seduction. (Read about Richards acting in another movie with a DAYS star’s son here.)

Want to learn more about the actress? Here are seven things to know about Courtney Fulk.

1. Fulk’s been interested in acting as far back as she can remember. “Ever since I was little, I was always putting on an act, the whole makeup and just performing,” she revealed in a Coolfmonline.com interview on Facebook. “I’d come up with my own commercials and just little bits.”

2. She attended Buena High School in Ventura, CA. While there, Fulk was a member of the cheerleading team.

3. Fulk appeared in one stage production in high school but quickly realized that theater wasn’t her thing.

4. She began modeling at the age of 13 in Phoenix, Arizona. It was through her agency that Fulk got invited to audition for an acting program in Los Angeles. “I did the whole audition process. I got accepted, that’s kind of where it started. I had just turned 16. The program really wasn’t to teach you how to act it was more to break you into the industry, because that itself is very difficult to do,” she said in the above Facebook interview. Eventually, she was signed with a Hollywood agent.

5. Playing Denise Richards’s stepdaughter in Killer Cheer Mom is an experience Fulk won’t soon forget. “She was incredible,” says the actress. “She helped me out a lot. She’s been doing this for so long. So when it came to my bigger scenes, she really was patient with me, helped me out, and helped me get more into character. She was a really nice lady, very humble.”

6. Fulk is set to play Young Sam in the upcoming horror film Devil’s Ride. The project is currently in pre-production. (Sam is played by Lauren Elyse Buckley.)
