There are plenty of people in Port Charles we love to see on our screens every week on General Hospital, but a few finally deserve a moment in the spotlight…while a few others need theirs to dim.

More of You

One of the best additions to Port Charles this year has been the loveable Gio (Giovanni Mazza). This sweet and talented heartthrob has been a light among everyone’s shadows, from bringing the gift of music to the Q’s to giving Trina (Tabyana Ali) a listening ear. Between the mystery behind his parents and his run-in with Emma (Braedyn Bruner), he may be well on his way to the storyline he deserves.

Keeping on the trend of Port Charles’ next generation, now that Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez, who returned to GH last week) has been found, hopefully, she decides to go back home with her mom instead of staying on the run with her dad. Port Charles could use some more Cassadines right about now, and Charlotte could easily follow in her late grandmother Helena’s (ex-Constance Towers) footsteps.

While he’s had plenty of air time since his August return, you can never have too much Lucky (Jonathan Jackson). Now that he’s decided to stay in Port Charles, there’s no telling what’s next for the legacy character, from his search for a new job to rekindling his endgame romance with Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst).

Less of Them

The number one person in Port Charles, everyone—except Willow (Katelyn MacMullen)—wants to see less of us, Drew (Cameron Mathison). This character has become despicable, from his obsession with his nephew’s wife to screwing over Curtis (Donnell Turner) with Aurora. Here’s hoping he takes a step (or several) back in the new year.

Nine (Cynthia Watros) has been a character many viewers, and Port Charles citizens alike have wanted less of for years now. From being Nelle’s (ex-Chloe Lanier) mother to stealing Sonny (Maurice Benard) from Carly (Laura Wright) to now pushing for Willow to divorce Michael (Chad Duell) and seek custody of the kids, Nina needs to stay out of everyone’s lives for once.

If Nina leaves the scene, hopefully, she will take Ava (Maura West) with her. Ava has next to no storyline going for her anymore. Trina could easily run the gallery, Avery is better off with Sonny, and almost all the Jeromes have died off. Let’s say a final farewell to this character before she causes any more harm to Port Charles’ biggest family.
