General Hospital fan favorites are looking forward to 2026, with some New Year’s resolutions for their alter egos. Some resolutions are funny, some are meaningful, but one actor takes the win for his resolution for his character.

Key Takeaways

  • Maurice Benard wants Sonny to get some love.
  • Alexa Havins says what GH fans have been thinking about Lulu.
  • Josh Swickard’s response is laugh-out-loud funny.

Here’s What GH Stars Are Saying About Their Characters’ 2026 Resolutions

The official GH Instagram account gave fans a fun video featuring some of the show’s most beloved stars.

Genie Francis kicked things off with a reminder to Laura that she has survived and will continue to survive hard things. It was a nod to the predicament she’s in because of Sidwell (Carlo Rotta).

“I mean, the guy is lonely. He’s been lonely for a long time, so I think it’s time for him to get some lovin,” Maurice Benard (Sonny) declared about the mob boss’s resolution.

Alexa Havins thinks that Lulu’s resolution should be that she doesn’t make a move on her best friend, Maxie’s (Kirsten Storms) husband, Nathan (Ryan Paevey). Many GH fans would certainly agree with that.

Van Hansis (Lucas) revealed that his alter ego plans to stay out of the Wyndemere catacombs next year, while Katelyn MacMullen (Willow) admitted all Willow wants is to get her kids back.

“Staying out of trouble, but I think we all know that’s not gonna happen,” spilled Bluesy Burke (Charlotte) about her character, who’s Lulu and Valentin’s (James Patrick Stuart) daughter.

Tabyana Ali thinks Trina will enjoy time with her sibling (when he or she comes) and her family more than she has these last couple of months. Kate Mansi (Kristina) feels Kristina’s New Year’s resolution to play it less safe because, after all, making bad decisions is kind of her thing.

While Amanda Setton (Brook Lynn) feels like her alter ego will focus on Gio (Giovanni Mazza) and building a family with Chase (Josh Swickard), her on-screen husband has something else in mind for his character.

“Chase’s New Year’s resolution is to one day have a better body than Cameron Mathison,” Swickard shared with a smile on his face. The answer left Setton and us cracking up.
