So, Nelle Is Carly. Now We Get It, General Hospital

Nelle has seemed awfully familiar since her first day in town on General Hospital. Forget the fact that she looks just like Bobbie and Luke’s sister Pat as a teen because she’s played by the same actress. Now, it turns out, she’s pretty much Carly. And who wants to guess she’s also Carly’s daughter? And, that her name may not be Nelle.

Back To The Past
Remember all the way back two decades when sweet and innocent (yeah, right) Carly Roberts first arrived in town and slipped right into the Jones family without blinking an eye. Nelle (Chloe Lanier) has surely done that with the Corinthos clan, endearing herself to Carly, and now becoming awfully friendly with Sonny–the same way Carly managed to get extremely friendly with Tony.

A Lost Child
Remember how Carly (Laura Wright, then Sarah Brown) was only able to get so close to Tony because he and Bobbie were still grieving over the loss of a child–BJ? And now, Carly and Sonny (Maurice Benard) are grieving over the loss of Morgan. Sound familiar?

The Same Story
Does the story of the best friend who died in a car accident also sound familiar? See, Carly’s name isn’t Carly. She just took the name from a dead best friend who died in a car crash. Fancy that one. Maybe Nelle is the name of the friend this girl who calls herself Nelle and this girl is Nancy (just a name we made up).

It Makes Sense
Of course, if Nelle is Carly, that means she’d have to be Carly’s daughter. That would make perfect sense and explain why her kidney matched Josslyn’s kidney. It also explains why she pulled away from Morgan’s advances, knowing they were siblings. (Never mind the fact that it explains why she looks like Carly’s aunt.) However, we have to wonder when she’ll seduce Sonny–and also when she plays some pool and sleeps with two random dudes. That would make her Carly through and through. That’s the only way to come full circle for Sweet Caroline. (Where’s Luke when we need him?)
