General Hospital created some synergy using Ava Jerome’s art gallery with real-life National Geographic photographer and author Joel Sartore (Photo Ark), who brought his environmental art to Port Charles for an enlightening episode.
Joel Sartore Visits General Hospital
“Well, this is something I never thought I’d do,” Sartore wrote on Instagram, “be on a soap opera! But the entire cast and crew of @generalhospitalabc could not have been nicer, even when I flubbed my lines.
“I was on the set to tape an episode that features Photo Ark images that were on display in their Jerome Gallery,” Sartore added. “Such an honor to partner with General Hospital to give species a lift, thanks to their loyal audience….” To learn how you can help save wildlife, check out Sartore’s website.
Helping Wildlife Survive
On the set of @generalhospitalabc with Frank Valentini, the executive producer of General Hospital. Sartore posted a photo of himself with members of the show’s cast and one with Valentini. “The Photo Ark (including our new book, ‘Wonders’) was featured in several episodes, thanks to Frank’s desire to give a lift to the Photo Ark and all the creatures within,” Sartore writes. “He believes, as I do, that all species deserve a voice and a chance to survive. With a loyal audience reaching back decades, I have no doubt the fans of General Hospital will want to help in any way they can. Thank you, Frank! And thanks to the entire cast and crew.”
Sydney Mikayla (Trina) commented on Sartore’s post, “So fun working with you!” @tinaforster_creativemikvehart added, “Love his work. This idea was genius.” @suspended_nature_photography wrote, “Oh, so fun for you and such a great boost for wildlife!!” @dukesrobyn adds, “Thrilled to have two things I [emoji heart symbol] come together, Photo Ark and General Hospital.”
