Nathan’s mystery father is suddenly a hot topic on General Hospital (GH), now that he and his wife, Maxie, are expecting their first child.
His mom, Dr. Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati), is keeping mum on the subject. In fact, she’s become a pro at dodging questions, when asked about her hunky son’s pop.
Nathan’s (Ryan Paevey) bound to find out the truth, particularly if his nosy wife, Maxie (Kirsten Storms), decides to get involved. There’s nobody better in town than digging up dirt.
Here are few GH men from yesteryear that we think could turn out to be Nathan’s dad.
Victor Cassadine
Dr. O originally claimed that Victor (Thaao Penghlis) was Nathan’s father. However, she later recanted that story. Knowing how well the Russian medico lies, who can believe a word she says? Perhaps Nathan really is the product of a relationship she had with the cunning Cassadine decades ago.
Mikkos Cassadine
Speaking of Cassadines, what if Victor’s dad Mikkos is really Nathan’s dad?
Liesl could have met him while she was seeing Victor and had a fling with him. Mikkos has been known to have his share of children out of wedlock. That would make Nathan both Alexis and Valentin’s (James Patrick Stuart) half-brother.

Alan Quartermaine
Like Mikkos, Alan (Stuart Damon) had a few extra marital affairs, too. Plus, he was a doctor and Liesl is a doctor. The duo could have met at a European medical convention, decades ago, where they ended up sharing a night of passion.
Afterward, Alan would have gone home to Monica (Leslie Charleson), and, six weeks later, Obrecht could have learned she was with child.
Lee Baldwin
Scotty’s late father always seemed to be devoted to his wife Gail, but that doesn’t mean he couldn’t have strayed one night long ago.
The sultry European doc could have gotten him drunk and seduced him, only to learn he was already committed to another woman, the next morning. Not wanting to make waves, Obrecht could have decided never to contact him again.
Caesar Faison
GH fans were stunned to learn that Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) was the love child of Obrecht and Faison. Isn’t it possible the twosome hooked up again and this time their tryst produced a son, Nathan? It would be Nathan’s worst nightmare to learn he was sired by the crazed Faison, and the news would probably toss his world into a tailspin.
