Santa Barbara has remained in the memories of soap fans for years after its cancellation. Now, one of its stars, Nancy Lee Grahn, who currently plays Alexis on General Hospital, remembers a dear co-star from the beloved NBC series.
Grahn played Julia Capwell on Santa Barbara, the daughter-in-law of family patriarch C.C. Capwell, played by Jed Allan.
The two actors remained in touch after the show’s 1993 end. Now, Grahn pays a very special tribute to Allan in light of the actor’s passing.
Like many, Grahn admired Allan’s stature and generous heart. She has a special connection to him in that in 1997, she rented his summer house and that, she says, is where her daughter Kate was conceived!
Grahn and Allan were reunited years later on General Hospital when Allan briefly played the part of Edward Quartermaine.
Check out Grahn’s post below to read her endearing tribute to a beloved daytime star.
General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check local listings for airtimes.
Goodbye for now to one of a kind, #JedAllen. His heart was as big as his fabulous swagger. Lots of laughs shared with him on #SantaBarbara & best of all my Kate was made in his stunning beach house that he let me rent for cheap the summer of 1997. I won’t ever forget that or him. https://t.co/mgAuzRbwPv
