Of course, Michael will be the one to ride to Carly’s (Laura Wright) rescue, 89% of you cheer. Carly being sent to the loony bin is Michael’s fault to begin with.
He has terrible taste in women. Which is so odd, considering the healthy family relationships he grew up around.
Michael dating Nelle (Chloe Lanier) got Carly into this mess, now his access to Nelle is her only hope for getting out. Once Michael puts all the pieces together and realizes what exactly Nelle did, he’ll be in the best position to out her scheme.

Maybe he’ll trick Nelle into outing herself. That way, he can both help his mother and gain custody of his baby. Sonny will be so proud. Michael is a chip off the old block! Who has a meat hook handy?
Too Little, Too Late
Michael’s had plenty of changes to see through Nelle’s schemes, 11% of the audience sighs, and he’s done damn little up to this point. Why would that change now?
Michael seems to be onto Nelle now, but he’ll probably be played again any day now. Which is so odd, considering how he was raised by a woman who would never dream of doing such a thing. It might have set a bad example and pattern for Michael to follow in future relationships.
Carly is on her own, here. That is, until Sonny settles this problem the same way he settles all others.
