Oscar’s days are over on General Hospital, and his absence will be felt across the canvas. Obviously, Kim, the mom who raised him, will be the most affected. But so will his newfound dad, Drew.
Girlfriend Joss (Eden McCoy) feels like this is the most terrible thing that ever has or ever will happen to her, but she’s young, and, eventually, Oscar (Garren Stitt) will only be a memory.
Her mom, Carly (Laura Wright), is right there, though, feeling her pain alongside Joss. There’s also Uncle Jason (Steve Burton), grandma Monica (Leslie Charleson), and best friend, Cam (William Lipton). But, will the fans miss Oscar? Here’s what almost 18,000 had to say:
Now That You’re Gone
Yes, 84% of the audience is sobbing. It’s tragic when a young man with such promise has his life tragically nipped in the bud. You were invested in his and Joss’ relationship, and you were looking forward to watching it develop for years to come. This could affect Joss for the rest of her life!
Plus, your hearts break for Kim and Drew. Not to mention, Monica really can’t afford to lose another grandson!
But, most of all, you’ll miss Oscar, himself. He’s a sweet kid, a great addition to Port Charles, and a loss that didn’t have to happen.
I Ain’t Missing You At All
Then there are 16% of you who see Oscar as good riddance to bad rubbish. What was his point again? To whine and hook up with the only other character who can complain more than he does? He and Joss never exactly lit your fire.
Oscar might have been an interesting character — a Quartermaine, no less — if he’d been presented in a more appealing manner. But, he never made much of an impression, and you won’t notice when he’s gone.
General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
