General Hospital has its mob crew, Sonny, Jason, Carly, and assorted hangers-on, and it used to have its other Crew – the bromance of Curtis and Drew.
But fans haven’t seen a lot of that lately. Granted, the guys have been busy. Curtis (Donnell Turner) married Jordan (Brianna Nicole Henry).
And, well, Drew (Billy Miller) — he divorced Sam (Kelly Monaco) and reconnected with Kim (Tamra Braun) over their son Oscar’s (Garrett Stitt) desire to emancipate himself so he can die of a brain tumor.
Not a lot of time to kick back, watch a game, and eat some wings. Or, you know, go looking for a flash drive that has memories from Drew’s life before he was brainwashed into thinking he was Jason (Steve Burton).
Do fans miss Curtis and Drew? Over 10,000 had this to say.
Missing In Action
Why wasn’t Drew the best man at Curtis’s wedding, 87% of the audience would really like to know? Has the show forgotten that they were buds, or does it just not fit in with the stories they’re now trying to tell?
Sure, Drew has a ton going on. But, he’s not a fair-weathered friend. Drew is a loyal guy – just look at how attached he still is to Jake and Danny, even though they’re not his biological children. He’s certainly more attached than Jason is.
And you expect Drew to be just as loyal to Curtis. Bring back the crew!
No Great Loss
However, 13% of you never enjoyed this pairing, to begin with. You don’t care about either character. They’re not in the mob. They’re not at the hospital. What purpose do they serve on the canvas?
Even if you had some investment in friendships, it doesn’t extend to the guys. Soaps are a woman’s medium. For women, by women. Men can show off their chests. That’ll do.
