Her last appearance as Nina will likely air soon on General Hospital, but that didn’t stop Michelle Stafford from making an appearance at the third annual GH Convention fan event in Burbank this past weekend.
Stafford and co-star James Patrick Stuart (Valentin) chatted with fans for close to an hour at the Marriott Burbank Convention Center. The actors reflected on their time together in Port Charles and talked about Stafford’s successor, Cynthia Watros (ex-Kelly, The Young And The Restless), who will debut soon as the new Crimson magazine editor-in-chief.
“I don’t want to sound like a Girl Scout but it’s all been fun and the people [at GH] are so amazing,” Stafford said when asked to pick her favorite storyline. “I’ve been happy every moment.”
The Emmy-winning actress noted that Nina taking Avery from Ava (Maura West) right after her birth was delicious fun to play. She also heaped praise upon GH fans. “You guys are better than those Game Of Thrones fans!”
Stafford also gave a thumbs up to Watros as the new Nina. “She will be amazing. She’s an Emmy winner herself [for her role as Annie on Guiding Light] and has an extensive sitcom history. She’s very funny.”
