Michael Sutton Reveals Riveting Details On Stone’s Return to General Hospital!

Life may be the pits for Sonny on General Hospital (GH) right now, but all is not lost. In all likelihood, he’s about to get a visit from an old pal who may be gone but will never be forgotten.

Michael Sutton, who played Robin’s boyfriend and Sonny’s pal Stone over 20 years ago, is returning to the show. Although the character is dead, Stone will likely appear the way he did the last time he visited the show back in 2010.

That’s when Robin was lying between life and death and her imagination conjured up a vision of Stone and that helped give her the will to live!

This time, it’s Sonny who’s in jeopardy after being kicked into a hole by Sam, who’s acting very out of character!

Sonny And Stone Together Again
Sutton confirms in the August 7 issue of Soap Opera Digest that this time around he is working with Maurice Benard (Sonny). “(T)his was the first chance to do posthomous scenes with Sonny and Stone,” Sutton tells Soap Opera Digest.

“Maurice is so talented, and with all the history we have together, I just knew it was going to be worthwhile.”

Afterlife
Sutton’s mostly retired from acting unless GH calls him and asks him to reprise Stone. Today, he works as a real estate agent and developer for The Agency of Beverly Hills.

He’s also the co-founding partner of some companies, and his group owns Malibu Community Collective, a medical marijuana dispensary.

Sutton told Digest that he learned of the importance of the pain-relieving benefits of marijuana back in the ’90s when he visited AIDS hospices as part of his research for Stone’s storyline.
