Chad Duell and Chloe Lanier on General Hospital

Around this time last year, General Hospital fans eagerly awaited the return of Teresa Castillo as Sabrina after the actress’ maternity leave. When she finally made her comeback in May, her romance with Michael could pick back up.

Then, she was inexplicably killed by inexplicable serial killer Paul (Richard Burgi) last Fall and fans lost it. Sabrina was such a beloved character, and she and Michael (Chad Duell) had so much potential. However, it soon became clear why GH killed her and its name is Nelle.

Despite Chloe Lanier’s talents, Nelle is not a character fans love to hate–she’s just a character fans hate. One of the reasons is that her “secret story” is dragging on into eternity, plus her relationship with Michael seems forced–especially after he so recently lost Sabrina.

You’re Just SO Not Into Them
Michael and Nelle are not the only new pairing on GH right now, but according to Soap Hub’s poll, they are the least liked. Out of more than 13,000 votes, 60% of you chose Carly’s son and assistant as the new pairing with the least fan following.

First, you were hoping Nelle would be a Spencer, but since she’s been pushed with Michael, you know that can’t be right. Second, like stated above, you still prefer him with Sabrina.

Runners Up
Franco (Roger Howarth) and Liz (Rebecca Herbst) are the second least liked couple with 26% of the vote. After all Liz did to Jason and Sam, she’s still not the most well-liked character in town. And well, after what Franco did to Jason and Sam–and so many other characters pre-brain tumor defense–you look at these two and just think ick.

Only 14% of you don’t care for Hayden (Rebecca Budig) and Finn (Michael Easton), which actually makes them the most-liked new pairing in PC. Those against them just can’t seem to get into two characters who seemingly came out of nowhere, despite the odd decision to turn Hayden into Jeff Webber’s daughter.
