You know it’s coming. Sonny has to find someone to drown his sorrows with because he always does whenever his heart is breaking on General Hospital.

This time, he’s experiencing the worst heartbreak of them all after the alleged death of Morgan (Bryan Craig) as well as Carly (Laura Wright) leaving him. Soap Hub asked who you think will be there to pick up the pieces for Sonny and your answers surprised us.

His Long-Ago One-Night-Stand
Out of more than 8,000 votes, 51% of you would like to see Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) give it another go. Sure, they share an adult child together that came from a long-ago one-night-stand, but they never truly had a real romance. You think it’s time, and that Sonny will be as good for Alexis as she will be for him. The two proved they share a bond that can never break this year, and Alexis sure needs someone to keep her mind off the bottle.

His First True Love
Coming in a close second with 41% of the vote was none other than Brenda Barrett. She was Sonny’s first true love in Port Charles, and every time she returns, he can’t seem to stay away from her. The two were even married briefly and some fans consider her Sonny’s only love. While there’s no word on Vanessa Marcil returning to GH, fans would still love Brenda to be there for Sonny.

An Interloper
The final 8% of you actually chose Nelle (Chloe Lanier) as a Band-Aid for Sonny’s heart until Carly inevitably returns to his side. She certainly seems to care about him and may even be falling for the older man. So far, she seems to be a lot like a young Carly, and Carly had no problem sleeping with the husband of a woman she considered a mentor.
