Let’s see now… General Hospital’s (GH) Joss thinks she’s always right, loves telling people what to do, makes snap judgments on a dime (even when they contradict each other), hypocritically venerates Sonny, and, when the talking gets rough, lets her fists do the talking.
Yup, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) is a chip off the old Carly (Laura Wright).
Is that a good thing? A bad thing? A scary thing? Almost 15,000 fans offer their takes on the subject.
Turnabout Is Fair Play
Oh, yes, she’s a mini-Carly, and 78% of you wouldn’t have it any other way. Look at the evidence: Joss thinks Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Jason (Steve Burton) are good mobsters, while Julian (William DeVry) is a bad one… even when he’s doing her a favor.
She first blamed Carly for picking on Nelle (Chloe Lanier), then turned around and pummeled Michael’s (Chad Duell) baby-mama in fine Carly style.
But the best part about Joss being a mini-me Carly is if, now that the hormones have kicked in full force, we’ll be watching Joss treat her mother the way Carly treated Bobbie (Jacklyn Zeman).
Or better yet, the way she dumped on her long-suffering adoptive mom, Virginia. Joss is exactly the daughter that Carly deserves.
Newer and Better
Joss isn’t merely a wannabe Carly – she’s better, 22% of the audience insists. After all, she hasn’t tried to seduce Sonny yet. That’s more than we can say about Carly, Bobbie, and Tony. She hasn’t drugged anyone or shot a man. That’s an improvement.
Of course, better can also mean that Joss doesn’t suffer from Carly’s insecurities, which means she won’t be as vulnerable to guys who tell her they love her.
When Joss cuts an evil swath through Port Charles, she won’t be needy like Carly. She’ll be doing it on her own terms. Everybody take cover!
