When Laura and Genie Francis left Port Charles and General Hospital (GH) back in January, she inexplicably started taking down her campaign posters, and then explained to Kevin she was dropping out of the mayoral race to fly to Europe and take care of Spencer.
PC and GH fans were left with their heads spinning, it happened THAT fast. And, in the pretend world of soap politics, Ned might not be mayor right now if he had a different opponent.
(Of course, he might also not be mayor if Jim Harvey hadn’t pushed damaging information about Alexis out in the press at just the right time.)
Anyway, it looks like Wally Kurth worries for his character now that Laura is returning. In fact, he thinks Ned would most certainly lose and told us so (tongue in cheek?) on Twitter Wednesday.
So, what do you think, GH fans? Is a re-match in order? Can we turn back time and see what would have happened if one incredible, intelligent, and capable woman was given a fair shot?
