Maurice Benard’s UNBELIEVABLE Birthday Message To His Daughter

The General Hospital star is on location making a film, so Maurice Benard couldn’t be with his oldest daughter, Cailey, on her birthday.

Benard has been shooting his new role as infamous mobster John Gotti in Lifetime’s The Victoria Gotti Story, which has taken him away from his family in Los Angeles.

Unfortunately, sometimes when you’re filming, you miss important life events back home and that’s exactly what has happened to the handsome actor.

That’s why he chose to post a gorgeous snap of his daughter on Instagram, along with the following touching message.

“Sometimes you don’t really know how much you miss your kids until you’re not around them I can’t believe this is the first time I’m not around my daughter Cailey for her birthday she’s been stepping up so much I love you so much happy birthday my love”

His daughter Cailey was born on September 18, 1994, which means she’s turned 24 years old this week.

Benard has been tweeting to his GH co-stars recently, saying how much he misses them and they have done the same back. It’s unclear how much longer the actor will be away on location with this new project and whether or not we’ll feel his presence missing on the show.

After all, the show may have pre-taped enough scenes with him so that it doesn’t feel like Sonny is actually gone from Port Charles. Or, perhaps he will be written off for a little bit. Stay tuned to find out.
