General Hospital star Maura West is going to have quite a weekend. She’s celebrating her birthday today, and is up for a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series on Sunday.
West was born on April 27, 1972, which means she turns 46 years old today. Her birthday comes just one day after Ava and Grace Scarola’s, the twins who play Ava’s daughter, Avery, on GH.
The actress got her start in daytime not long after graduating college when she landed the role of Carly Tenney on As the World Turns. It was there that she met her second husband, Scott DeFreitas.
The two have been married since 2000 and have four children together. West has one child with her first husband, Jonathan Knight, who she was married to from 1995-1999.
West already won an Emmy for playing Ava Jerome in 2015 and Soap Hub wishes her luck this weekend. Soap Hub also wishes her a very happy birthday and you can too with the tweet link below.
