Mark Lawson General Hospital
Dustin Phillips may have gone to that great soap in the sky, but his portrayer, Mark Lawson, continues to give thanks for his year and a half run on General Hospital as Lulu’s love interest.
He took to Instagram to give thanks in a Thanksgiving post. “I tried to record a Thanksgiving video at least 10 times last night,” Lawson said. “Was trying to cover my gratitude I feel for all of the love I got for my last episodes on General Hospital.
“I kept meandering in my thoughts. This was as close as I got,” the actor added. “Also, I need a haircut. I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I think I have to do burpees today. #thankful #gratitude #thanksgiving #imtoofull.”
In his video, Lawson shared: “I’m very appreciative of all the love and support that I’ve gotten regarding my last couple of episodes at GH. I’m thrilled with how they turned out. I think they’re great. Of course, I would have loved to have gone on and done more, but this is the machine of story and this is what happens.
“Tension has to happen,” the actor continues. “Conflict has to happen and sometimes a freaking disaster has to happen so, there can be more story. I’m happy to play a part in that. But I’m very happy about it.”
Lawson says that he’s hopeful about the future. “I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving,” he adds. “This is actually the first time I can speak in a couple of hours because I ate so much. I feel surrounded by love. I feel optimistic about the year to come. I’m very thankful for that. And I hope the same for you. Happy Thanksgiving.”
“U r so going to be missed on GH,” added @siouxzycue2018. “I know you [will] let us know [about] your next project, I am a fan for life and will be following you no matter what you do, even if it is to the garage for burpees. I am grateful for you 🙌😘.”
