Emme Rylan’s maternity leave should be coming up shortly, so how will General Hospital (GH) write her out?
It looks like Rylan will be leaving around the time of the infamous May Sweeps period when soaps pull out all the stops to get the highest ratings they can.
It is during these periods that ad revenue prices are set, so soaps play to July, November, February, and May and make sure that stories really kick into high gear to maximize viewership.
Right now, GH seems to be making Lulu’s quest to get custody of Charlotte as impossible as can be. Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) won custody, and he has caught onto her plan to use Nelle (Chloe Lanier) to get closer to her daughter.
It feels like Lulu is running out of options, so it makes perfect sense that she would be pushed into doing something rash. She is Lulu Spencer Falconari, after all. Acting without thinking is how she operates.
What if in a fit of despair of never seeing her daughter again, she kidnaps Charlotte and goes on the run?
This could give her other half, Dante (Dominic Zamprogna), plenty of story while she’s gone as he goes looking for his wife and the mother of their son, Rocco.
It would also give Anna (Finola Hughes) a reason to stay in Valentin’s orbit, helping him find his daughter as a way to make up to him for all the hell she put him through over the years.
It could also serve to draw them closer, making his wife Nina (Michelle Stafford) really lose it. Now wouldn’t that be a fun May sweeps story!
