Lost In Space: Is Kim Completely Delusional On General Hospital?

General Hospital’s Kim may be a doctor and a seemingly sensible, mature adult… but then her son got sick. And a lot of that sense and sensibility went out the window.

First, Kim (Tamara Braun) became determined to get over Oscar’s (Garren Stitt) passing by having another baby with Oscar’s dad, Drew (Billy Miller). He politely declined. So she drugged him. That was a big red flag. Kim’s boyfriend, Julian (William deVry) also wanted no part of it.

Drew left town and is now presumed dead. But his lost memories — the ones that included his relationship with Kim — were downloaded into Franco (Roger Howarth). So now Franco thinks he’s Drew. He has feelings for Kim. And he wants to hear about Oscar. And other things?

Is Kim seeing a chance to recreate the life she lost by using Franco? And is that… the attitude of a sane, non-delusional person? How almost 3,000 voters feel:

Crazy Is As Crazy Does

That’s a big yes, according to 59% of you. Not that you blame her. She’s been through an experience no mother should have to suffer trough. It would unhinge anyone. And, yes, it’s unhinged Kim.

Add to that the fact that Franco is the definition of not in his right mind, and this sick relationship is headed for a very, very unhappy ending. Unless Liz (Rebecca Herbst) can smack some sense into both of them.

The New Normal

Kim is doing the best she can under the circumstances, 41% of the General Hospital audience is doing its best to remain supportive. She is definitely sliding down a slippery slope, but she isn’t completely gone yet.

She knows Franco isn’t Drew — that he, technically, has no relationship to her precious, lost Oscar at all except maybe this distant cousin connection via Franco and Drew’s mothers.

Still, there’s something to be said for indulging in a fantasy. Kim is still clinging to reality. But you’re not sure how long that’s going to last. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
