Liz Did WHAT? Friz Fans Sound Off On This General Hospital Breakup

Franco keeps secrets. That’s just who Franco is. And Liz keeps secrets. That’s just who Liz is. So, they seemed to be the perfect match on General Hospital (GH).

Two flawed people who fell in love and wanted to marry–classic soap opera, right? Of course, he is more flawed than her because he was a serial killer (a brain tumor made him do it), but let bygones be bygones, right? That’s what Liz (Rebecca Herbst) did and she even had Franco (Roger Howarth) move in with her while planning a big wedding.

But, Franco didn’t tell her that his adoptive mother told him he pushed Drew down the stairs when they were three.

He was afraid he was still a bad man and also afraid she’d think the same. So, he missed their wedding to get to the truth, an earthquake happened, and Liz learned his secret cause Jim Harvey (Greg Evigan) is a liar and Sam (Kelly Monaco) has a big mouth.

A horrified Liz dumped Franco forgetting all the horrifying things she has done over the years, apparently leaving Friz fans…well…horrified.

Soap Hub asked if Liz was too quick to end things and more than 8,000 of you responded.

And, 87% of you think, oh yeah, Liz, that was harsh. Franco cried and begged for forgiveness. Liz cried and thought of all the reasons not to forgive despite being the forgiveness beggar so many times before with others.

Last week, she was flashing back to all the wonderful times she shared with Franco. They even made love in the hospital shower. And then, well, it’s over because Franco was being Franco, and that means he may have some secrets. If you’re going to fall for Franco, you need to accept the whole package.

Then, there is a minority 13% who think Liz did the right thing. When you marry, there should be no secrets. Franco should have trusted that Liz would understand.

Plus, if he thought that he was a danger to children, why the heck did he move into her house where three children live? You understand where Liz is coming from, even if you don’t like it.
