A Life Of Pain: Kelly Monaco Recovers From Miracle Surgery

After years of suffering from chronic pain, General Hospital star Kelly Monaco has decided to do something brave about it… and share her story.

The gorgeous actress admitted on to the pain she’s been feeling for years on Instagram, complete with a photo of herself in a hospital bed that looks like a scene right out of the soap!

“After over a decade of suffering from chronic, excruciating pain from a torn labrum in my hip, I [am] finally taking the first steps in bettering my health and myself,” she wrote.

Soap Hub can’t even imagine what it must have been like for Monaco to compete on ABC’s Dancing With The Stars, a show in which she won the first season and later came back to perform on, as recently as late last year.

Now that she’s had the surgery, it must be pretty life-changing for her. In her Instagram post, she went on to talk about what life may look like for her now and also took the opportunity to thank those who have helped her along the way.

“Looking forward to MANY positive changes coming soon! Thank you @heathmonster for holding my hand and drying my tears pre and post surgery… then stocking my home to keep me comfy while healing.”

GH was also very supportive, and she made sure to thank her boss for his support as well someone else who is very special to her, who we can guess is co-star Billy Miller (Drew), her former onscreen husband.
