General Hospital star Laura Wright had an amazing time during the show’s production break, showing all the exciting things she did during her recent trip to Colorado with longtime boyfriend and former GH co-star Wes Ramsey, but there was one thing she wasn’t expecting — or at least something she had tried and hoped to avoid.
Laura Wright Reveals She Caught COVID
It was on Wright’s official Instagram, in her stories, where she shared an image of her COVID test, showing a positive result, that she shared the news. “Amazing vacation — not so amazing ending — been isolating in Fort Collins — watching every serial killer show [ever] made,” she wrote, adding a sweet hashtag about missing her dog, Kimba, with whom she would have been reunited by then had she been able to return home.
Considering how many of her co-stars have been temporarily replaced onscreen for several episodes at a time, fans were obviously a little worried that Carly Corinthos might look a little different in the coming weeks, but they need not worry.

A Twitter user named Greg wished Laura Wright well and she retweeted his concern and added, “I’m good !!! And we are on break right now so I’ll be good when we start shooting again ❤️” As of Sunday, the actress was still recovering. “Ok lots of tv time while we are on the couch with Covid — yes still feeling bad — right now we are finishing Midnight Mass. CRAZY!!! Haaaa And yes we’ve seen Terminal List — so good !!!”
That will certainly be a relief for her legion of fans who have adored Wright since her Port Charles debut back in 2005. Prior to that, Wright had already developed quite a soap following from her roles as Cassie Layne on Guiding Light and Ally Rescott on both Loving and when the show morphed into The City. Soap Hub hopes Laura Wright and Wes Ramsey recover as quickly as possible and reunite with Kimba very soon.
