Over the last five years, you’d been more likely to find Kimberly McCullough behind the camera instead of acting out in front of it on General Hospital. Now the actress is about to have a GH reunion as she takes on her next directing assignment — Roswell, New Mexico for the CW Network.
Kimberly McCullough: A Long Way From General Hospital
McCullough has been chronicling her latest project, currently scouting locations for the sci-fi show, on her Instagram account, wanting to show her fans what set life is like for a lady director in showbiz.
This latest shoot reunites her with the star of the show, Nathan Parsons, who plays Max Evans. But on GH, the actor played Ethan Lovett, the son of Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) and Holly Sutton (Emma Samms).
Blast From The Past
The episode that McCullough is directing, titled I’ll Stand By You, won’t be seen until 2020. Recently, we learned that Jason Behr, who played Max Evans on the 1999 version of Roswell, will be joining this series in a recurring capacity but the show hasn’t revealed any more details than that.
Parsons isn’t the only ABC soaps alumni on Roswell, New Mexico. Former One Life to Live star, Trevor St. John (ex-Victor Lord, Jr.), plays bad boy Jesse Manes on the one-hour drama.
Keeping Busy
McCullough was very vocal on social media about saving another show, One Day At A Time, which she directed three episodes of and was very close to her heart. The Netflix show did get saved by Pop TV.
Hopefully, she’ll get the chance to work there again but she’s been busy elsewhere, having directed episodes of The Bold Type and The Cool Kids this past year. Of course, GH fans are still hoping to see more of her beloved character, Robin, in Port Charles soon. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
