General Hospital spoilers for Wednesday, July 24, focus on characters facing the press, facing off with an enemy, and facing their parental responsibilities.
Face the Nation
Since Natalia’s homophobic words were leaked to the press, Kristina (Kate Mansi) and Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) have dealt with the blowback. Blaze, especially. Her music label dumped her. Also, her relationship with her mom is in shambles. But Kristina won’t let her girlfriend shrink from shame, or the trolls, or her mom’s harsh, judgmental words.
On Wednesday, Kristina and Blaze meet the press. This involves sitting down with internet personality Perez Hilton. While they tried to control all angles of this sit-down, Brook Lynn quickly let them know that would not happen. So, they’ll have to be prepared to field difficult questions that don’t necessarily relate to the main topic…like their respective families. Will Kristina and Blaze make it through the interview with their reputations intact, or will it cause even more damage?
Face-Off
It must sting John (Adam Harrington) to know that his investigative skills led him down the wrong path. He seriously thought Anna (Finola Hughes) was the head of Pikeman. But now the FBI Agent knows Valentin (James Patrick Stuart — who recently received a stark reminder) is the head of the evil organization. What must sting even more is how Valentin escaped capture. His latest move is to hunt down Anna so he can find out if/how she helped Valentin make a quick getaway.
Cates has messed up a whole lot for Jason over the past three years. Most recently, he forced Jason (Steve Burton) to cancel his trip with Danny (Asher Antonyzyn). He told his son he’d reschedule, so guess what? Jason reaches out to Danny, and hopefully, they’ll set up time to spend together.
Choices Made, Ideas Generated
According to the teasers, Carly (Laura Wright) weighs her options. What is she contemplating? Is she weighing life choice options, professional options, or options on how to help bring Sonny and Jason back together?
Finally, Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) and Nina (Cynthia Watros) held a brainstorming session. Do they unite to help Drew (Cameron Mathison — who remembers the late Esta Terblanche here) campaign for Congress? After all, Nina said she’d do anything to help Drew win because it means so much to Willow. Plus, he did help her create a bond with her daughter. Or do they come together to generate ideas for Willow’s charity gig? What’s the genesis for bringing mother and daughter together?
