General Hospital star Josh Swickard was one of the many soap actors to spend his Memorial Day weekend down in Marco Island, Florida for Soapfest, helping to raise money that would benefit kids with autism.
During the cruise on Sunday, he spoke exclusively with Soap Hub about the event and also how he feels about working on the ABC soap.
“Some of the kids and I got to paint together and we would paint this masterpiece and we would auction it off and we raised a lot of money last night,” he shared.
Indeed, much of the artwork that was painted by the kids and the soap stars brought in a huge amount of money that will these kids in so many ways.
Talk soon turned to what it’s been like working on GH and an excited Swickard was happy to share his feelings as he’s gotten more experience with so many of his amazing castmates. When asked who he’d still like to work with, the actor’s enthusiasm was apparent.
“I’ve only grown to love everybody more and more. I genuinely mean that; I wouldn’t say it if I didn’t. Maurice [Benard, Sonny], Laura [Wright, Carly], Steve [Burton, Jason], all of them, especially the veterans,” he shared. “I’ve become more invested in them, in the show, in the characters and I’m like a kid in a candy store,” he enthused.
