Jonathan Jackson is best known for playing Lucky Spencer on General Hospital, but the actor has also appeared on shows such as Boy Meets World and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles as well as films like Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights, Tuck Everlasting, and The Deep End of the Ocean with Michelle Pfeiffer over the course of his career.

Along with his work in television and film, Jackson is also an accomplished musician. From where he was born and raised to winning multiple Daytime Emmys, here are five fast facts to know about the former General Hospital actor.

Who Is Jonathan Jackson?

The actor was born on May 11 in Orlando, Florida, but he was raised in Battle Ground, Washington with his brother Richard and his sister Candice. Jackson first became interested in acting after his family took a trip to Universal Studios Hollywood when he was a young child. Jackson then began taking acting lessons in Portland, Oregon.

Family Band
Jackson had a band called Scarlet Road with his brother, his father, and his uncle. However, now he’s in a band called Enation with just his brother, Richard. The band has released several albums and their music has been featured on TV shows such as One Tree Hill.

Five Time-Winner

The role of Lucky Spencer on General Hospital was indeed lucky, as it helped him win five Daytime Emmy Awards. Jackson won the part when he was only 11 years old. He won Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series three times and won Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series twice.

Following General Hospital
After deciding to leave the popular ABC soap, Jackson landed a role on the show Nashville in 2012. He played the complex character of Avery Barkley and was on the show for all six seasons. In the story, he played a love story opposite Juliette, who was played by Hayden Panettiere (ex-Lizzie, Guiding Light; ex-Sarah, One Life to Live).

Getting Personal With Jonathan Jackson
He married Lisa Vultaggio, who played Hannah Scott on General Hospital, in 2002 when he was just 20 years old. The couple has three children together— 16-year-old son Caleb, 14-year-old daughter Adora, and 9-year-old son Titus. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC.
