There were several General Hospital actors vying for the same awards during the Daytime Emmys process and while fans may have gotten touchy when their favorite actor didn’t take home the gold, that doesn’t mean those actors feel the same way — or do they? Jon Lindstrom decided to tackle this burning question.
And he did so by posting to Twitter a picture of the proof in the pudding (so to speak). The results brought the humor in at least one of his award-winning co-stars.
It all started when Lindstrom posted a picture of himself with co-stars Maurice Benard (Sonny), Laura Wright (Carly), and Maura West (Ava), looking happy despite having just competed against each other. He wrote along with it, “In response to those who tend to think there’s a rivalry or competitiveness within our cast I offer you this.”
He then followed it up saying, “A typical day at work. Happy to be there. Happy to be with each other and making TV for those who want it. We couldn’t be happier for @MauriceBenard. And @HayleyErin and @MaxGail and @patriciabethune”
The sweet post caught the attention of one of those winners — and her response was actually quite adorable. Hayley Erin, who played the late Kiki Jerome and just won an Emmy for it wrote, “I think you’re the bee’s knees and you MURDERED me. Nothing but good vibes with this crowd. Even murder can’t upset this happy crowd of actors! General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
