General Hospital fans are aware that Steve Burton’s temporary exit is coming. Is he about to go on the run after taking the blame for Cullum’s shooting?
Key Takeaways
- Rocco shot Cullum to save Jason and Britt.
- Jason may take the blame and go on the run.
- This will have a huge effect on Rocco.
- Rocco may be stronger than he realizes.
Wild Day In Port Charles
What a day it was. Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) stabbed Marco (Adrian Anchondo). He then ran to the piers, smashed Britt’s (Kelly Thiebaud) medication vials, and knocked her unconscious. Jason (Steve Burton) came in to save the day and fought with the villain. Just as Cullum was about to strike our hero, Rocco (Finn Carr) came out of the shadows and shot him in the back.
Fans cheered when Rocco saved the day, but now what? The poor kid already served time in juvenile detention for a crime he didn’t commit. Shooting someone, whether Cullum deserved it or not, could land him right back in there.
Jason will never let that happen. He planned to leave Port Charles with Britt, but she probably needs to go to the hospital. Knowing Jason, he will tell Rocco to flee the scene so that it looks like Jason was the shooter. Then he will go on the run to prove Cullum was the bad guy and find a way to save Britt on his own.
What Happens To Rocco?
Even if Jason takes the blame and makes it look like Rocco was never there, this will affect the teen. He is young, just shot someone, and won’t be able to tell anyone what happened.
This will change Rocco. He may no longer be the innocent teenager he was, and his plans of becoming a doctor might be put on hold. This incident will affect his mental health.
Let’s not forget that he is the grandson of both Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Luke (the late Anthony Geary). Nothing was ever able to stop either of those men, and Rocco may have a strength in him that he doesn’t realize he has. Sonny is the one person whom Rocco can confide in, and he would do anything for his grandson. It may take a while, but Rocco will find his way back from this.
